Shilpa, fondly referred to as "Dr. J" by her patients, has accumulated over 18 years of extensive experience in the field of internal medicine, which she now brings to Harper Health. Following the completion of her residency, she embarked on her career in a small private practice, where she dedicated herself to refining her expertise in providing exceptional patient care.

She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Industrial Engineering, showcasing her analytical mind before transitioning to medicine. She then pursued her medical degree at The Chicago Medical School. She trained at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where her dedication and skill were recognized with the Program Director’s Award for Outstanding Internal Medicine Resident.

Dr. J is recognized for her outstanding medical expertise and her commitment to developing enduring, personalized connections with patients spanning multiple generations. Her approach is focused on ensuring that every patient feels respected and truly listened to.

Outside of medicine, Dr. J enjoys a fulfilling personal life with her husband of 20 years, residing in Winnetka where they are raising their two teenage boys.  Her commitment to family mirrors her dedication to her patients, making her not just a doctor, but a trusted friend in their health journey.
